How To Backup Video Games

If you call yourself a gamer, you’ve probably asked yourself, “How do I
copy Wii games, Xbox 360 games, etc. onto another disk?” Generally, people
with the internet jump to Google or YouTube to find the answers to
questions like this, but most of these videos are actually incorrect. The
proper way to backup a video game is actually much simpler than what they
make it out to be. For instance, one of the easiest ways to perform said
backups is to find a program that can perform a cd game copy, which
basically has the same outcome as copying a music CD. It simply directly
copies the files from one disk to the other, creating a clone of the
first. A few examples of game copy software include: CloneCD, Game Cloner,
5-Star GameCopy, and DVD Detective. These may cost a pretty penny, but
they get the job done and with very little effort on your part. There are,
however, freeware game copying programs such as Easy Backup Wizard that
are available for download at their various websites. There are manual
ways to backup your video games, but are risky for the computer
illiterate, as you may damage the disk to the point where it isn’t
playable. It may be the only option, however, if you’re low on money and
can’t afford the pricey game copy software. Nonetheless, there are a great
variety of options regarding the backing up of video games, wide enough to
give anyone with a console at least a moderate chance of success.
