Left 4 Dead 2 Xbox 360 Game Review
Left 4 Dead 2
Left 4 Dead 2, a first-person shooter sequel to the award-winner Left 4 Dead, was released on Nov 17, 2009, after a series of heated controversies, which hardly marred the its popularity. More than 2 million fans of shooter games world wide have purchased retail copies of this exciting Xbox 360 game, which makes it one of the largest selling Xbox and PC games of November 2009. Like most shooter games, Left 4 Dead 2 is brutal, cold, violent and chilling, but loads of fun and is immensely popular with shooter game fans.
The game content of Left 4 Dead 2 as well as its predecessor is similar in that they both revolve around an apocalyptic pandemic, which leaves almost all the inhabitants of a town infected. The infected behave in a weird manner and try their best to prevent the survivors from escaping. The four survivors have to fight hordes of infected people who look and behave like zombies. The aim of the game is to reach a rescue vehicle which will take players to safety. While the game’s predecessor lacked a definite story line, Left 4 Dead 2 has a good story line with a definite beginning and an end.
The most striking fact about Left 4 Dead 2 is the element of realism, creating a lot of tension in the player. The infected in the sequel have new abilities and the survivors have better characters. Besides this, the game content of the sequel is richer, with 5 campaign maps giving players the opportunity to enjoy 5 unique modes of play.
